I would like to take this time to recommend Sweet Pea Children's Books via Monique Duncan. 

I met this super creative and talented woman while covering a maternity leave at her school. 

Like Monique, I believe there is a shortage of multicultural children's books on the market. She's taken it upon herself to write and illustrate her own materials to provide readers with a wider range of characters and content.
