2015 is quickly approaching and everyone will be discussing their New Year's resolutions. I originally created this activity for students to complete at the beginning of the new school year, but I realized it's also perfect for a New Year's activity after winter vacation. While one template is left blank for students to brainstorm their own goals for the year, the other features the following writing prompts: I will be a better... I will try harder to... Before the end of the year I want to... I will practice... I will learn how to... I will think about... I will not be afraid to... I will always remember to... These downloads also feature little "did it" and "not yet" check boxes in the bottom right hand corner of each goal for students to complete at the end of the year. You can even fill out one for yourself and join the students as they share their goals with the class! View the larger preview at the bottom of this post... Other Goal Setting and New Year Activities

Thanks for compiling so many great resources in one spot. I see so many useful ideas that can be used across several grade levels.

I teach first grade, and I love the soccer ball goal template. Is there anyway I can edit it after I buy it?
