Directions: Fill in the web with all of the relationships the main character has in your book. These can be friends, parents, siblings, other family members, classmates, etc.
If there are only a few characters, you can ask students to be more descriptive about the characters.
If there are several characters, you can also ask students to group all friends in one bubble, family in another, insignificant/flat characters in another, animals/non-humans, etc.
